The Leader of OneSA Movement, Mmusi Mmaimane has blamed the ruling party in Zimbabwe, ZANU PF for the “immigration challenges” that South Africa is facing.
Mmaimane claims in a scathing attack on the Zimbabwe government that the root cause of this so called crisis began from the Gukurahundhi massacres to date.
Mmaimane implies that the ruling of President Emmerson Dambuzo Mnangagwa and the late former President Robert Mugabe has caused this crisis for not only South Africa but for other Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries as well.
He also found the South African government liable for agreeing with the tyrannic rule in Zimbabwe of a brutal and corrupt tendencies to reign and terrorize its citizens for 42 years and counting.
A mass exodus of Zimbabwean migrants allegedly attempt and cross the border into Mzansi on a daily basis using undesignated entry points to seek medical care, jobs, and buy groceries among other reasons.
As economic melt down continue to bog Zimbabweans, with just a few elite enjoying the gravy train, many have sought refuge in Manzi.
For Zimbabweans who are impoverished, South Africa had proven to be shaven to seek economic asylum, albeit illigally.
Over the years degreed Zimbos and the not so educated track down Mzansi in search for greener pastures.
Many Zimbabweans have had to endure unfair labour practices perpetrated unto them by SA employers who take advantage of they undocumented status.
Zimbabwean workers have flooded the hospitality industries such as hotels, restaurants, cafe, they have flooded supermarkets and retail shops, they have become house maids, truck drivers, security guards. Zimbabweans have taken any job in South Africa as long as it puts a plate of food on the table.
Those who are not lucky have become thieves, robbers, ladies of the night, the list is endless.
Subsequently, over the past couple of weeks the South African authorities have arrested and deported thousands of these illegal Zim immigrants.
Mmaimane further stated that initiating conversations about free and fair elections in Zimbabwe would be dealing with the root causes while doing otherwise would be dealing with symptoms of the crisis only.
Mmaimane posted all of this on Twitter.
Meanwhile in Zimbabwe, the country will be holding By-elections set for March to replace mostly MPs and Counsellors who were recalled by MDC-T of Douglas Mwonzora faction.
Already confusion is reigning amongst the electorate as the MDC formations continue to decimate into several entities.
