Sista2sista for Adolescent Girls and Young Women

The program Sista2Sista Club centers on addressing challenges that adolescent girls and young women are facing. The club is a safe place where they can come discuss their issues and learn how to overcome them, they also receive support from the other girls. The goal of the club is to promote gender equality; reduction of HIV incidence; access to adolescence sexual reproductive health (ASRHR) and to reduce the prevalence of gender-based violence. The mentors recruit girls and young women of the age 10-24 years that live in the same area. The program has a duration of 46 weeks and the members will be awarded with certificates at the end of the program. ZiCHIRe has trained at 550 female sista2sista mentors in Harare and Mashonaland East since the year 2012.

Parent to Child Communication
The programme seeks to spearhead and support the sexual and reproductive health status for adolescents. It also seeks to address challenges that many parents face in discussing with young people about relationships development and sex. The package therefore equips parents and

adolescents with adequate information and the much-needed tools to engage in dialogue and communication issues around (SRHR). It also empowers parents on how to encourage and support their adolescents in accessing sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) services. The clinical adolescent and youth friendly sexual and reproductive health service include but not limited to: HTS, VMMC, family planning with a focus on contraceptives and condoms, STI screening, SGBV, PMTCT and ANC. ZiCHIRe has trained 135 Parent to Child communication mentors in Harare and Mashonaland East since 2017.

Comprehensive Sexuality Education
The Comprehensive Sexuality Education program emerged due to adolescent lacking on sexual reproductive health putting them at risk of sexually transmitted infections and unwanted pregnancy. The program allows young people to protect their health and welfare. It promotes gender equality and sexual reproductive health rights. The program is implemented through community-based approach, seeking to empower young people aged between 10 and 24 years of age with vital comprehensive sexuality education, which will help them make informed decisions regarding their sexual and reproductive health and increase access to health services among the target group. The program targets both men and women. ZiCHIRe has trained 80 CSE mentors in Harare and Mashonaland East since 2018.
