The cultural and commercial celebration of romance and love, valentines day will this year be held in style at the high density suburb of Nkulumane. This is because Desire Moyo aka Moyoxide and his arts promotions company Moyoxide ideations has come up with a new pageant called Miss Valentines: Style and Image which will be held at Nkulumane Hall.
“We aim to deliver a unique event that celebrates romance and love in a youthful friendly way. We believe ama-2k generation has the potential to make this nation a better nation. We only need to understand and embrace them so that we move together in harmony. Beauty and Brains need to be celebrated and not be a source of abuse and false pride”said Desire Moyo popularly known as Moyoxide.
Moyoxide told ZIM GBC NEWS there are plans to hold this pageant across Zimbabwe in the near future.
“We believe valentines day is not a foundation for heart breaks, captivity and cheating. We need to be open minded without our brains falling out”, added Moyoxide.
He also said that the pageant which will also feature performing artists will also be used as a medium to teach young people about their sexual reproductive rights. The models that will be shortlisted to walk on the catwalk on the day will be strictly aged between 15- 23 years.
