Ayanda“Checkers”Sibanda has expressed his excitement at being given the opportunity to lead ambitious ZIFA Bulawayo Province Division 2 outfit Bulawayo Galaxy.
The former Inline Academy, Street-Set and Ubuntu coach revealed to Zim GBC News that he has been studying and expanding his football knowledge for the past five years whilst on the sidelines of the game.
“I got a chance to meet the players on Saturday and instantly introduced myself to them, I also advised them to be professional and also to follow diets which would be more beneficial to their fitness. I don’t just coach in the field I also focus on personal development thus looking at grooming players to be disciplined.” Checkers told Zim GBC News .
Checkers who is also a ZIFA Level 3 coaching license holder further stated that his move to Galaxy, a relatively unknown entity was inspired by the club’s approach when they were talking to him and he also liked the club’s philosophy which is quite ambitious.
Sibanda added that his tactics will revolutionize not just Galaxy but the league as a whole.
“Three years from now I am confident enough that I am going to build them a team that will even reach the National League that’s if they support me with everything in terms of getting the players and strengthening the squad trust me I will take the squad to greater heights.”Checkers said.
