A 15 year old juvenile has been arrested for fatally stabbing a woman six years her senior in a love triangle.
The deceased woman was 21 years old from Magodi Village in Plumtree.
Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the incident which happened on the Sunday in the border town of Plumtree.
The Police report says that the two had a fight over a boyfriend and the juvenile murdered the woman by stabbing her with a knife.
The elder woman died instantly.
The names of the victim and that of the perpetrator are being withheld to protect the identity of the juvenile until investigations are complete.
In a similar case, a 17 year old male juvenile was arrested in Binga.
On Friday last week the male juvenile was arrested in connection with a murder charge where he is accused if grudgingly stabbed his friend 17 year old friend with a knife.
The young man later attempted to commit suicide by stabbing himself on the throat with a knife as well as consuming a pesticide.
Meanwhile, on Sunday Police in Gwanda arrested Prosper Sibanda (26) in connection with a case of murder which occurred in Sitezi Village on Friday.
The suspect, together with eight other accomplices who are still at large, fatally attacked a 22 year old man whose name has not been supplied. The man was murdered at his girlfriend’s house after an undisclosed misunderstanding.
Seemingly the sanctity of life is eroding in society as people fail to settle their squabbles amicably. This generation is seeing a lot of unnecessary deaths outside war as the value of life us taken lightly.
It has become so easy to kill another human being.
