Flashing and flossing with bunches of United States Dollars is associated with young men on social media and is commonly seen in Hollywood American movies, but yesterday it was witnessed in Dulivhadzimu Township in Beitbridge.

The President of the Republic of Zimbabwe pulled out a wad of one hundred United States Dollars while officiating at the Beitbridge Redevelopment Housing Project Commission alongside the delayed commemorations of the  World Habitat day in  dusty Township of the border town.

This scene came after a local traditional dance group perfomed at this event.

In Venda culture,  it is said a woman lies down on the ground to show respect to the elderly visitors as she greets them in order to show that the visitors are welcome, in return the visitor gives a token of appreciation in any form so that she gets up.

The same performance took place yesterday as the VhaVenda women who were part of the traditional dance group, lay prostate after entertaining the  President with his entourage.

ED pulled out of his trouser pocket a wad of  United States dollars and without counting gave the dancers several crispy new US$100 notes much to the chagrin of onlookers.

The president had come to officiate and hand over 28 housing units which will provide accommodation to civil servants.
